This week, ISHIB (The International Society on Hypertension in Blacks) releases a compendium of articles addressing the physical health of the region’s citizens and those who have migrated away from the region but remain affected by these conditions. The articles appear in Volume 15, Number 1, Supplement 1 of ISHIB’s journal, Ethnicity & Disease.

The International Society on Hypertension in Blacks ISHIB) and the nation’s leading medical experts have developed the first-ever guidelines for treating high blood pressure in African Americans. The recommendations, “Management of High Blood Pressure in African Americans” were published in the March 10 edition of the Archives of Internal Medicine.
