Awards Nomination Deadline: April 8, 2005

Since 1986, ISHIB has recognized individuals and organizations for their support, contributions, and special advances in medical research and community outreach. The program encourages hypertension-related research efforts and community programs designed for ethnic populations. Awards are presented during a special ceremony at the annual conference. ISHIB presents 3 annual awards:

• The nominee must have conducted and published research relating to hypertension or other cardiovascular diseases as they affect ethnic populations.
• The nominee must hold a doctorate-level degree.
• The award is restricted to members of ISHIB.
• The winner must attend ISHIB2005 to receive the award.

• The nominee must be a person or group who has made outstanding contributions to the community in relation to bridging the gap of health and life expectancy among ethnic populations.
• The award is not restricted to members of ISHIB.
• The winner (or representatives of the winner) must attend ISHIB2005 to receive the award.

• The nominee must be a student exhibiting exceptional work in areas of research related to hypertension or other cardiovascular diseases.
• The nominee must be a current student and candidate for post-graduate degree.
• The award is not restricted to members of ISHIB.
• The winner must attend ISHIB2005 to receive the award.
