Awards
ISHIB Awards Program

Since 1986, ISHIB has recognized individuals and organizations for their support, contributions, and special advances in medical research and community outreach. The program encourages hypertension-related research efforts and community programs designed for ethnic populations. Awards are presented during a special ceremony at the annual conference.

In 2006, we are introducing two new awards programs supported by an educational grant from GlaxoSmithKline. The first is the Medical Fellowship Program, a medical education program designed to attract primary care physicians, fellows and residents to attend and participate in the Hypertension Academy. The activity will focus on representation from medical residency/fellowship programs. The second is the Master Clinicians Program, which recognizes clinicians who are leaders in their field and implement and promote new clinical care management programs.
