ISHIB is a unique non-profit professional membership organization devoted to improving the health expectancy and life of ethnic populations. ISHIB was founded in Atlanta, Georgia, in 1986 to respond to the problem of high blood pressure among ethnic populations. ISHIB will convene its 28th Annual International Interdisciplinary Conference entitled "Complications of Hypertension: New Approaches to the Diagnosis and Management in African Americans” in San Francisco from May 17-19, 2013.
